FYRA FUNdamentals (U7) program - Registration is now open - click here.
The U7 program will align with Ringette Canada's programming recommendations. All ages U10 & younger are now called Children's ringette, with the introductory program known as FUNdamentals 1. The program focuses more on ringette skills instead of only skating and will feature some game play as well.
The season runs in two 10-week sessions (Oct-Dec, *Jan-Mar) and will require separate registration for each session. (*registration for January-March session is now open)
When / Where - Mondays, 6:15-7:15pm at the Grant Harvey Centre, starting Monday, January 6, 2024. Last session on March 17th. No session on March 3rd (spring break)
There is no age limitation on this program (however players should be 4 years & up); it is designed to be an Introduction to Ringette and is for players who have little to no skating experience.
Cost is $150 per child and registration fee includes a keeper jersey for each player. Registration will be on a first-come first-served basis. A waitlist will also be created.
Full equipment is required to be worn by all skaters which includes: CSA approved helmet with mask, neckguard, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, hockey/ringette pants, shin pads, jock/jill, and skates.
Several of our families rent equipment from Fredericton Ringette Rentals. FYRA is not affiliated with this program, but Wendy offers a great service to our ringette families.
