Tier 1 Information

The FYRA U12/U14/U16 Tier 1 Stars Program (“the Program”) is a program run by the Fredericton Youth Ringette Association (FYRA), with some assistance from Ringette New Brunswick (Ringette NB). This program offers U12/U14/U16-aged participants the opportunity for further skill development through an introductory experience of the High Performance pathway.

Practices will be structured, varied, game-like and provide maximum participation for all. The Program will provide a high paced environment where participants can improve in a safe and fun manner. All interested athletes registered in the U12/U14/U16 divisions are permitted to participate.

Note: A parent or guardian must have attended one of the 2 mandatory parent meetings on August 27th or August 30th. 

Tier 1 - tryout fee - $45

Refund policy: 
Players wishing to try out for Tier 1 must be registered with the FYRA for the 2026-27 season by August 31st 8:00 PM. All players will need to have a valid City of Fredericton Recreation Number for the 2026-27 season.

At the completion of tryouts, if a U12, U14 or U16 player does not make the Tier1 team and decides to leave the association, they will receive a refund as per section 5.12B of our FYRA Policies & Procedures. This policy applies to all players trying out for Tier 1, regardless of the location of their residence.

FYRA Policies & Procedures:
5.12b "if a player requests a refund up to Nov 30, refund will be 4/5 of the fee, less $50 administration fee and the outside user fee if applicable"
