Once players register for U9 we will email you with ice times - or feel free to email us at fyraringette@gmail.com

Tournaments (taking place over 1/2 ice for FUN 2 / U9)
There are 2 tournaments the entire association will play which include:
- Ed Benoit Early Bird Tournament (November 15 - 17) - Fredericton
- Jamboree & Provincial Championships (March 14-16) - Moncton
As well, many teams will play at the City of Lakes Tournament (COLT) in Halifax (January 16 - 19) and/or another one of the 2024-25 tournaments.
Fees:
In addition to the registration fee at the beginning of the season, each family would pay fees to help cover items throughout the season which includes but is not limited to: tournament registration fee, team bonding events (i.e. team parties etc..) and other fees as determined by the team. This is reviewed at the beginning of the season and can vary depending on the number of tournaments the team attends.
Volunteering:
We ask all families to volunteer 5 hours at the Ed Benoit Early Bird Tournament in November. This is the association's annual fundraiser - which keeps our registration fees down. You can find additional details in our volunteer policy.
Ringette Equipment:
Full equipment is required to be worn by all skaters which includes: CSA approved helmet with mask, neckguard, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, hockey/ringette pants, shin pads, jock/jill, and skates. If you plan to rent equipment and have not already reached out to Wendy at Fredericton Ringette Rentals, weโd recommend you contact her to make an appointment -frederictonringetterentals@gmail.com. We also have a Buy / Sell / Trade Ringette Equipment facebook group.
Watch for more details to come but we wanted to send you the weekly ice timing ASAP to help with your planning. As well, weโre still looking for head coaches, assistant coaches and managers at U9. Please send us a message if youโre interested in learning more.
About FUN2 (U9)
FUN2 is for children, usually ages 6-8, who are learning to lengthen their stride, ready to learn more rules of ringette, and have developed some basic skills. This group plays โMini Ringetteโ against other association teams. โMini Ringetteโ is half-ice games that are divided at center ice. FUN2 has two ice times per week, generally one practice during the week and one during the weekend.
