Ed Benoit Early Bird Tournament, Nov 15-17, 2024

Jun. 10, 2024

As you are likely aware, FYRA hosts a major tournament every year. The Ed Benoit Early Bird tournament is hosted every year during the month of November and this year it will be held from November 15th-17, 2024.

The co-chairs (Shawn Johnson & Lisa Stewart-Munn) are looking for your help and are looking to begin to assemble our committee for this amazing event.  We want to hit the ground running!  Please see below for information regarding the positions we would be looking to fill.  If you are interested in helping, but are unsure of taking on a role to yourself please reach out and we will get you into an appropriate role!

Volunteer Co Lead (one co-lead is already in place)

-       Assist the co chairs in researching an alternate format in signups for tournament volunteers

-       Prepare the set up documents and bins for each rink prior to the tournament

-       Prior to and during the tournament work with the co chairs to fill all volunteer slots

-       Ensure bins and documents are collected from each rink following the tournament

-       Verify the volunteer schedule following the tournament

Sponsorship Co Lead (one co-lead is already in place)

-       Find sponsors for the tournament at various levels

-       Track sponsors asked and confirmed using an excel file

-       Retrieve logos/websites for sponsors

-       Assist with the creation of a thank you pamphlet for the weekend

If you are able to help with any of these positions or in any way at all please contact Lisa and Shawn at: fyratournamentchair@gmail.com

Many hands make light work and we look forward to working with you!
